Privacy Policy

Analytics (Google Analytics 4): page views, usage events, device and browser type, approximate location (country / region), referral source, and cookie identifiers. This helps us understand how the site is used.

Behavior analytics (Microsoft Clarity): heatmaps, session recordings, clicks, scrolls, pages visited, device and browser type, and aggregated usage signals. This helps us spot friction and improve the site experience.

Google advertising features (Google signals and ads personalization): when enabled and you consent, Google may associate your visit with information from signed-in Google accounts that have allowed this association (for example, to measure cross-device audiences and serve relevant ads).

Data stored locally on your device (localStorage), which is not sent to us: your language, theme, progress and attempt history. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.

Reviews you choose to send us through the form on the reviews page: see the section "Reviews you submit" below.

If you wish, you can send us a review through the "Leave a review" form. It is the only feature of the site that sends us data you type yourself. We then collect: the name you choose to display, your city (optional), your rating out of 5, your text, your test result (passed or not, and your score if you enter it), the language of the form and, if you add one, a photo. No email address and no account are required.

Every review is read by a person before publication. Once approved, it is displayed publicly on the reviews page with the details above and may appear in search engine results. A rejected review is never published and its photo is deleted. Do not include in your review information you do not want made public (full name, address, file number, etc.).

Photos are re-encoded to WebP before being stored: their metadata (GPS location, device, date taken) is removed.

To block automated submissions, the form uses an anti-bot check provided by a third-party vendor, which receives technical information about your browser for this check. When you send the form, we also record a hashed fingerprint of your IP address (which cannot be turned back into the address) and your browser type. Both are used only to limit the number of submissions per address and are automatically erased after 48 hours.

This data is hosted by our hosting and storage providers, located in the United States. A notification email containing the review is sent to the site administrator by an email delivery service. We use this data for no other purpose and do not sell it.

Legal basis and retention: publication relies on your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Your review stays online until you ask for its removal. You can ask at any time for your review and photo to be corrected or deleted by writing to privacy@citizenshipcanada.app.

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, behavior analytics and advertising provided by Google and Microsoft Clarity. On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline. Until you accept, these tools stay disabled (Google Consent Mode v2: consent defaults to denied).

You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser: the banner will reappear on your next visit.

This site shows ads provided by Google AdSense and, where applicable, by Google's third-party advertising partners. These ads help fund a free service with no account.

As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. Third-party ad networks and vendors may also use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

These advertising cookies are only set after your consent, collected through the banner on your first visit (Google Consent Mode v2: consent defaults to denied). If you decline, you may still see non-personalized ads, based on the page content rather than your history.

We do not sell your data.

For visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Quebec (Law 25), among others, the use of analytics, behavior analytics and advertising cookies and the related features rely on your consent, collected through the banner before any cookie is set.

Google Analytics data is retained for the period configured in the GA4 property (by default, on the order of a few to several months). Microsoft Clarity data is retained for the period configured in the Clarity project. Data stored in your browser remains until you clear it.

• Decline or withdraw consent via the banner (by clearing the site's data).
• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
• Manage ads personalization in Google settings (adssettings.google.com) and review / delete your activity via Google My Activity (myactivity.google.com).
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction and deletion; contact us to exercise them.

The citizenship test mainly concerns adults. The site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
